Stan Wawrinka (born March 28, 1985, in Lausanne, Switzerland) is a professional tennis player renowned for his powerful one-handed backhand and mental resilience. He began playing tennis at the age of eight and turned professional in 2002. Wawrinka achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 3 in January 2014. He has won three Grand Slam singles titles: the 2014 Australian Open, the 2015 French Open, and the 2016 US Open. Additionally, he secured an Olympic gold medal in doubles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics alongside Roger Federer and contributed to Switzerland's Davis Cup victory in 2014 .

Known for his determination and work ethic, Wawrinka's journey to the top was marked by perseverance and self-belief. He once said, “As a tennis player, you have to get used to losing every week.
