Omar Khayyam

Omar Khayyam was a Persian mathematician, astronomer, and poet, best known for his collection of philosophical and often mystical poetry known as the "Rubaiyat". Born in 1048 in Nishapur, Khayyam made significant contributions to algebra, geometry, and the study of the calendar.
