Keith Ellison is an American politician and lawyer serving as the 30th Attorney General of Minnesota since 2019. He made history as the first African American and Muslim American elected to statewide office in Minnesota. Before his tenure as Attorney General, Ellison served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2007 to 2019, representing Minnesota's 5th congressional district. He was also the Deputy Chair of the Democratic National Committee from 2017 to 2018.
