Carlos Mencia (born Ned Arnel Mencía on October 22, 1967) is a Honduran–American comedian, writer, and television personality, celebrated—and sometimes controversial—for his bold, politically charged stand-up style. Raised in East Los Angeles by his aunt and uncle, he initially studied electrical engineering before finding his stage voice performing at open mic nights and carving out a place on the comedy circuit of the early 1990s +15+15+15.
