Xi Jinping
Xi Jinping is a Chinese politician, author, and the current President of the People's Republic of China. Born in 1953 in Beijing, Xi is the son of Xi Zhongxun, a prominent Chinese revolutionary leader. Xi rose through the ranks of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and has been an influential figure in shaping China’s domestic and foreign policies since becoming the General Secretary of the CPC in 2012 and President in 2013. He is also the Chairman of the Central Military Commission, giving him supreme control over China’s military.
