Tom Scholz

Tom Scholz (born 1947) is an American musician, inventor, and songwriter, best known as the founder and leader of the rock band Boston. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Scholz studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. Despite his technical background, Scholz pursued his passion for music, playing multiple instruments, including the guitar, and eventually founding Boston in the 1970s.
