Born Kristina Louise Yothers on May 5, 1973, in Whittier, California, she began her career at the age of three, appearing in commercials for brands like McDonald's, Bell Telephone, and Doritos. Her breakout role came in 1982 when she was cast as Jennifer Keaton, the tomboyish younger sister of Alex P. Keaton (played by Michael J. Fox), on Family Ties. The show ran for seven seasons, from 1982 to 1989, and was a significant part of her early career .
After Family Ties, Yothers pursued a music career, forming the band Jaded with her brother Cory 'Bumper' Yothers.
