Taufik Hidayat, born on August 10, 1981, in Bandung, Indonesia, is a retired professional badminton player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the sport's history. Known for his incredible technique, footwork, and mentality, Hidayat won numerous titles, including the 2004 Olympic gold medal in men's singles and multiple World Championship titles. His victory at the 2004 Athens Olympics was historic, as he became the first Indonesian male to win an Olympic gold in badminton.
