Stefan Sagmeister

Stefan Sagmeister is a renowned Austrian graphic designer, typographer, and visual artist known for his provocative, boundary-pushing work that blends design with emotion and philosophy. Born on August 6, 1962, in Bregenz, Austria, he studied at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and later earned a master's degree from the Pratt Institute in New York. In 1993, he founded his own firm, Sagmeister Inc., gaining international fame for designing album covers for artists like The Rolling Stones, Lou Reed, and David Byrne.

Sagmeister is best known for his bold, conceptual projects that challenge conventional notions of design, including his collaboration with Jessica Walsh under the name Sagmeister & Walsh.
