Soundarya, born Sowmya Sathyanarayana on July 18, 1972, in Mulbagal, Karnataka, was a celebrated Indian film actress and producer renowned for her work in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema. She made her acting debut in the Kannada film Gandharva (1992) and quickly rose to prominence with her performances in films like Ammoru (1995), Pavitra Bandham (1996), Anthapuram (1998), and Raja (1999) .
