Simon Pegg (born February 14, 1970) is an English actor, comedian, writer, and producer, best known for his work in the comedy and science fiction genres. Born in Bristol, England, Pegg first gained attention for his role in the British sitcom Spaced (1999–2001), which he co-wrote and starred in. His breakout success came with the critically acclaimed comedy Shaun of the Dead (2004), which he co-wrote and starred in with his long-time collaborator Edgar Wright.
