Sebastian Bach
Sebastian Bach is a Canadian-born rock singer, songwriter, and actor, best known as the former lead vocalist of the iconic heavy metal band Skid Row. Born on April 3, 1968 in Freeport, Bahamas, and raised in Peterborough, Ontario, Bach began performing at a young age and gained widespread recognition in the late 1980s with Skid Row’s self-titled debut album. The band’s hits like “18 and Life”, “Youth Gone Wild”, and “I Remember You” became anthems of the late glam-metal era.
After parting ways with Skid Row in 1996 due to creative differences, Bach embarked on a solo career and also transitioned into theater and television. He appeared in Broadway productions such as Jekyll & Hyde and The Rocky Horror Show, and was featured on reality shows including Supergroup and Celebrity Fit Club. His dynamic personality and powerful voice continued to earn him fans across genres, and he published his memoir, "18 and Life on Skid Row", in 2016.
Bach is known for his candid and often humorous reflections on fame and music. He once said, “Rock and roll is about attitude and rebellion.” On staying true to his roots, he noted, “You can’t take the metal out of the boy.” And speaking about his journey, he remarked, “I just sing what I feel, and if people like it, that's cool.” These quotes reflect his unwavering passion for music, his bold stage persona, and his enduring legacy in the world of rock and metal.
