Sam Claflin is a British actor renowned for his versatile roles in film and television. Born on June 27, 1986, in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, Claflin developed an early passion for football. However, after sustaining an ankle injury, he shifted his focus to acting, studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He made his film debut in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011) and gained widespread recognition for portraying Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games series (2013–2015) .

Claflin's career continued to flourish with notable performances in films such as Love, Rosie (2014), Me Before You (2016), and Adrift (2018). He also starred as Oswald Mosley in the acclaimed series Peaky Blinders (2019–2022) and portrayed Billy Dunne in the musical drama series Daisy Jones & the Six (2023), a role that earned him a Golden Globe nomination .
