Raised in Sydney, Australia, Ruel began his musical journey at a young age, learning to play guitar at eight and writing his first song at twelve . His breakthrough came in 2017 with the release of his debut single, “Golden Years,” followed by “Don’t Tell Me,” which garnered international attention and praise from artists like Elton John .
Throughout his career, Ruel has released several successful singles and EPs, including “Younger” and “Painkiller,” with the latter earning a nomination at the 2020 Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition .
