Ruben Hinojosa

Rubén Hinojosa, born on August 20, 1940, in Edcouch, Texas, is a former U.S. Representative who served Texas's 15th congressional district from 1997 to 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, Hinojosa represented a district stretching from Seguin to McAllen, encompassing a diverse and predominantly Hispanic population. Before his congressional tenure, he was a member of the Texas State Board of Education from 1974 to 1984.
