Prosenjit Chatterjee (born September 30, 1962, in Kolkata, West Bengal) is a legendary Indian actor and producer, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern Bengali cinema. A member of a cinematic legacy—his father, Biswajit Chatterjee, was also a noted actor—Prosenjit made his screen debut as a child artist in Chotto Jigyasa (1968) and later emerged as a leading hero in Duti Pata (1983). His breakthrough came with the blockbuster Amar Sangi (1987), which firmly established him as a star in Bengali film +15+15+15.
Over the years, Prosenjit Chatterjee has enjoyed a versatile career spanning commercial hits and critically acclaimed performances.
