Peta Wilson is an Australian actress, model, and lingerie designer, best known for her iconic role as Nikita in the television series La Femme Nikita. Born on November 18, 1970, in Sydney, Australia, she spent part of her childhood in Papua New Guinea due to her father's military postings. Wilson began her career as a model in Australia and Europe before moving to Los Angeles in 1991 to pursue acting. After training at the Actors Circle Theatre, she landed the lead role in La Femme Nikita, which ran from 1997 to 2001 and earned her critical acclaim and multiple award nominations .
Following the success of La Femme Nikita, Wilson appeared in various films, including The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003), portraying Dr. Mina Harker, and Superman Returns (2006), where she played Bobbie-Faye. She also starred in the independent film Liberator (2012), earning the Best Actress Award at the Cinerockom International Film Festival . In 2012, she launched her own lingerie line, Wylie Wilson, named in honor of her maternal grandmother, combining her passion for fashion with her entrepreneurial spirit.
