His breakout role came in 2001 when he starred in The Fast and the Furious, which catapulted him to international fame. Beyond acting, Walker was passionate about marine biology and founded the humanitarian organization Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) to provide disaster relief. Tragically, he passed away on November 30, 2013, in a car accident at the age of 40 .
