Padma Lakshmi

Padma Lakshmi is an Indian-American television host, model, author, and activist, renowned for her role as the longtime host of Bravo's Top Chef. Born on September 1, 1970, in Chennai, India, she moved to the United States at a young age. Lakshmi's early life was marked by personal challenges, including a severe car accident and a battle with endometriosis, which she has openly discussed to raise awareness about the condition. She graduated from Clark University with a degree in Theatre Arts and American Literature, and later became the first Indian model to have a career in Paris, Milan, and New York .
