Naomi Judd (born Diana Ellen Judd on January 11, 1946, in Ashland, Kentucky) was an American country music singer, songwriter, and actress. In 1983, she and her daughter Wynonna Judd formed the country music duo The Judds, achieving significant success in the 1980s. The duo released six studio albums and won five Grammy Awards and nine Country Music Association awards, selling over 20 million records. They disbanded in 1991 after Naomi was diagnosed with hepatitis C, but reunited for performances and tours in subsequent years. In 2021, The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
