Momo Hirai, known mononymously as Momo, is a Japanese singer, dancer, and rapper who rose to prominence as a member of the South Korean girl group TWICE, formed by JYP Entertainment. Born on November 9, 1996, in Kyōtanabe, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, Momo began dancing at the age of three alongside her older sister, Hana. Her talent was recognized early when she appeared in a music video for Lexy in 2008 and participated in the talent show Superstar K in 2011. In 2012, she was scouted by JYP Entertainment through an online video, leading her to move to South Korea and train as a K-pop trainee. Momo debuted with TWICE in 2015 and later became part of the subunit MiSaMo in 2023 .
