Kimberly Bryant

Kimberly Bryant is an influential technology advocate and the founder of Black Girls Code, an organization dedicated to empowering young women of color by teaching them coding and technology skills. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, she developed a passion for technology at a young age and earned a degree in electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University. Throughout her career, Bryant has worked in engineering and corporate America, but her true calling emerged when she decided to address the lack of diversity in the tech industry.

Bryant founded Black Girls Code in 2011 with the goal of providing underrepresented girls with the tools to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
