Keir Starmer

Sir Keir Starmer is a British politician and barrister who has served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since 2024. Born on September 2, 1962, in Southwark, London, Starmer was named after Keir Hardie, the first leader of the Labour Party. He grew up in Oxted, Surrey, and attended Reigate Grammar School. Starmer went on to study law at the University of Leeds, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 1985, and later completed a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) degree at St Edmund Hall, Oxford in 1986 .
