Joe Lando is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Byron Sully in the television series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993–1998). Born on December 9, 1961, in Prairie View, Illinois, Lando began his acting career in the mid-1980s. He first gained attention with a role in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) and later starred as Jake Harrison in the soap opera One Life to Live (1990–1992). His role as Sully, the rugged mountain man and love interest of Dr. Michaela Quinn, played by Jane Seymour, became his most iconic performance, earning him a dedicated fan base and recognition in the industry.

Beyond his acting career, Joe Lando has expanded his creative endeavors to include writing and producing.
