Jill Biden is an American educator, author, and the First Lady of the United States from 2021 to 2025. Born on June 3, 1951, in Hammonton, New Jersey, she grew up in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, and earned multiple degrees, including a Doctorate in Education from the University of Delaware in 2007. Throughout her career, Dr. Biden has been a passionate advocate for education, particularly community colleges, and has taught English and writing at Northern Virginia Community College for over a decade. She is the first First Lady to maintain a full-time job outside the White House during her husband's presidency .
In addition to her teaching career, Dr. Biden has been deeply involved in various social causes. As Second Lady from 2009 to 2017, she co-founded the Joining Forces initiative with First Lady Michelle Obama to support military families. She also launched the Biden Breast Health Initiative in 1993 to promote breast cancer awareness and education.
