Jax Jones (born Timucin Fabian Kwong Wah Aluo on 25 July 1987 in London, England) is a multifaceted British DJ, record producer, and songwriter known for his infectious dance-floor tracks. Growing up in a multi‑ethnic household—with influences from his Nigerian stepfather, who introduced him to Afrobeat and rap, and his Malaysian–Chinese mother—he developed a rich musical palette spanning hip hop, R&B, gospel, and African music. Early inspiration also came from producers like The Neptunes, Timbaland, and Rodney Jerkins, shaping his rhythmic sensibilities from a young age +15+15+15.

He broke through into mainstream success after collaborating with Duke Dumont on tracks like “I Got U” (~2014), and later launched his solo career with hits such as “You Don’t Know Me” featuring Raye (2016), “Instruction” featuring Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don (2017), and “Breathe” featuring Ina Wroldsen (2017) +10+10+10. His debut album Snacks (Supersize) (2019) compiles many of these chart-topping singles, highlighting his knack for combining dance beats with pop sensibilities in a seamless and addicting way +6+6+6.

Jax Jones is celebrated not only for his music but also for his sharp wit and deep creative insights. He’s said: “My job as a DJ and a producer is just to have a big encyclopedia in my head. I just like to take my time.” and “The Carnival dancers are such a vital part of any carnival… once you see them, you know it’s time to party.” He has also joked about his public persona: “I actually try to not come into the label as much as possible… It’s good to be mysterious, to be this person who just delivers songs and they go on to do well.”
