Jane Goldman is a British screenwriter, author, and producer renowned for her work in fantasy and science fiction genres. Born on June 11, 1970, in Hammersmith, London, she began her career as a journalist for publications like Just Seventeen and Cosmopolitan. Transitioning into screenwriting, Goldman gained recognition for co-writing the film Stardust (2007) with director Matthew Vaughn, a project that earned them a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Long Form .
Throughout her career, Goldman has collaborated extensively with Vaughn on several successful films, including Kick-Ass (2010), X-Men: First Class (2011), and Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014). She also penned the screenplay for The Woman in Black (2012), marking her first solo screenplay, and adapted Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016) for director Tim Burton .
