J. R. Moehringer (born December 7, 1964, in New York City) is a Pulitzer Prize–winning American journalist, memoirist, and ghostwriter. Raised by a single mother in Manhasset, New York and Scottsdale, Arizona, he graduated from Yale University in 1986 before starting his career as a news assistant at The New York Times.
