Hayden Christensen is a Canadian actor and producer, best known for his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Born on April 19, 1981, in Vancouver, British Columbia, and raised in Toronto, Christensen began acting in Canadian television at a young age before gaining recognition for his role in the 2001 film Life as a House, which earned him critical acclaim and a Golden Globe nomination. His breakthrough came when he was cast by George Lucas to play a young Darth Vader, a role that would define his career for years to come.
