Daniel Dubois (born September 6, 1997, in Greenwich, London) is a British professional heavyweight boxer known by the nickname “Dynamite”. Standing at 6′5″, he began boxing at age nine under the disciplined guidance of his father, Dave (a former market trader), who homeschooled him and pushed him through grueling early training routines. Dubois built a standout record as an amateur—winning English schoolboy titles, ABA championships, and other national accolades—before turning professional in 2017 .

Daniel Dubois has risen rapidly in the heavyweight division, capturing multiple belts including the British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles (2019–2020), the WBA (Regular) heavyweight crown in 2022, and ultimately the IBF heavyweight championship in June 2024. His breakthrough moment came in a stunning fifth-round knockout of Anthony Joshua at Wembley in September 2024, where he dropped Joshua four times en route to victory . He’s now preparing to face Oleksandr Usyk in a unification bout scheduled for July 19, 2025 .

Daniel Dubois speaks with fierce ambition and self-belief. He declared of his upcoming fight: “I’m going to come out with all the belts… this time is going to be a blood bath and I’m just going to go to work, demolition.” On his previous loss to Usyk, he said outright: “That first fight is behind me… I’m a man of the future… I’ve got to stamp my authority on this division.” Dubois credits his father’s strict regimen, saying: “We counted the hours [of push-ups]… They were made from all the push-ups I did… I can be proud of these marks.”
