Cooper Kupp is an American professional football wide receiver currently playing for the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. Born on June 15, 1993, in Yakima, Washington, Kupp hails from a family with a rich football lineage. His grandfather, Jake Kupp, was an offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, and New Orleans Saints, while his father, Craig Kupp, played quarterback for the Phoenix Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys. Cooper attended Eastern Washington University, where he set numerous NCAA FCS records, including career receptions (428), receiving yards (6,464), and receiving touchdowns (73).
Drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Kupp quickly made a name for himself with his exceptional route running and reliable hands. His breakout season came in 2021, when he led the NFL in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947), and receiving touchdowns (16), earning the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award and Super Bowl LVI MVP honors. In March 2025, Kupp signed a three-year, $45 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks, marking a return to his home state of Washington.
