Chris Mullin

Chris Mullin (born December 12, 1947) is a British journalist, author, and former Labour Member of Parliament for Sunderland South from 1987 to 2010. Educated at the University of Hull, Mullin began his career as a journalist, notably leading the campaign that resulted in the release of the Birmingham Six, victims of a miscarriage of justice. He later served as a minister in three departments and chaired the Home Affairs Select Committee.
