Ben Horowitz (born 1966) is an American entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and author, best known for co-founding Andreessen Horowitz, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm. Raised in London and later moving to the United States, Horowitz earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Columbia University. He worked at Netscape before founding Loudcloud, a cloud computing company, which later became Opsware and was sold to Hewlett-Packard for $1.6 billion in 2007.
