Asim Chaudhry is a British comedian, actor, writer, and director, best known for co-creating and starring as Chabuddy G in the BBC mockumentary series People Just Do Nothing. Born on November 24, 1986, in Hounslow, London, Chaudhry hails from a Pakistani Muslim family. His early exposure to media and creativity led him to study media at West Thames College, where he met collaborators who would become integral to his career. The success of People Just Do Nothing, which began as a YouTube series, earned Chaudhry a Royal Television Society Award and two BAFTA nominations for Best Male Comedy Performance .

Beyond his role as Chabuddy G, Chaudhry has expanded his acting portfolio with appearances in films and television series such as Wonder Woman 1984, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, The Sandman, and The Honeymoon. He also starred in the BBC comedy special Click & Collect, alongside Stephen Merchant. In 2018, Chaudhry directed the short film Love Pool, showcasing his versatility in the entertainment industry .

Reflecting on his experiences, Chaudhry has shared insights into his comedic approach and personal growth. He stated, "Growing up, I would use comedy as a kind of defence mechanism – you know, I’m going to call myself a nasty name before you can. I’m going to diss myself so much, and in such a funny way, you will have nothing left to say." Additionally, he emphasized the importance of authenticity in comedy, saying, "My type of comedy is always self-deprecating, the joke’s always on me." These reflections highlight Chaudhry's commitment to vulnerability and personal expression in his work.
