Annaleigh Ashford (born June 25, 1985, in Denver, Colorado) is an American actress, singer, and dancer known for her dynamic performances on Broadway and in television. She began her career with roles in musicals such as Wicked (2007), Legally Blonde (2007), and Hair (2010). Ashford gained widespread recognition for her Tony Award-winning performance as Essie Carmichael in the Broadway revival of You Can't Take It With You (2014–2015).
