Adrian Dunbar

Adrian Dunbar is a celebrated Irish performer, born on 1 August 1958 in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Over four decades, he has built a multifaceted career as an actor, director, screenwriter, and singer, studying at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London .

He first garnered acclaim co‑writing and starring in the 1991 film Hear My Song, earning a BAFTA nomination for Best Original Screenplay, and later won global recognition as Superintendent Ted Hastings in the BBC’s hit drama Line of Duty (2012–2021).
