Born Neil Timothy Helson in Ashland, Kentucky in 1989, he grew up in a musical family—his father is Billy Ray Cyrus, the famous country singer—which influenced his early exposure to music. Trace developed a passion for performing at a young age, eventually forging his own path in pop-rock and electronic music.
