Kathleen Wynne (born 1953) is a Canadian politician, educator, and later author, best known as the 25th Premier of Ontario. Born in Toronto, she built her career as a community activist and school trustee before entering provincial politics. In 2013, she made history as Ontario’s first female premier and the first openly gay head of government in Canada.
