Art Linkletter (1912–2010) was an American television personality, radio host, and author, best known for his long-running TV shows "People Are Funny" and "Art Linkletter's House Party". He became a household name in the 1950s and 1960s for his ability to engage audiences with humor and heart. Linkletter’s career spanned over six decades, and he was widely recognized for his distinctive style of interviewing, particularly his interactions with children. His show segments featuring kids saying the most humorous and candid things became iconic and led to his reputation as a master of lighthearted entertainment.

In addition to his work in television, Linkletter was a prolific author, writing several books throughout his career. One of his best-known works, "Kids Say the Darndest Things" (1957), became a bestseller and was later adapted into a successful TV series.
